Pierre de Ronsard™

Pierre de Ronsard is one of the most popular climbing roses in Australia. And for good reason, Pierre flowers with clusters of old world cabbage-like blooms in spectacular fashion. A vigorous climber, the blooms are creamy white suffused with pink and carmine in colour. Every large bloom is filled with over 40 petals and repeat flowers very well for a climber. Suitable for pillars, fences or walls, Pierre is also easy to maintain, almost thornless and has bright glossy leaves.

A poet in the court of Mary Queen of Scots, Pierre de Ronsard was also a keen gardener, and would have loved his name-sake rose. Pierre de Ronsard has been voted the World’s Favourite Rose by the World Federation of Rose Societies. This is a special award given only once every few years by rose societies in over 37 countries and 100,000 members.

Pierre de Ronsard loves our hot dry weather.
